The alumni association promised him the world then when he finally saw what a dump Florence 1 is he high tailed it out of there.Greerfan1 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 24, 2024 3:40 pmWhat in the world happened down in Florence?

I was told he listed Wilson's principal as a reference for another job

They’ll probably recycle some washed up has been loser. Florence thinks they’re more relevant than what they are. The whole state laughs at that area-they’re a joke.
Couldn’t find a meter, but here’s 4 bucks!

The HOF Coach Darryl Page is back at Wilson. Hopefully he can get that program stabilized. Bad timing for any school to lose a coach this close to spring ball.

Joke?
The whole state?
Does the Florence area have a Dutch Fork or a Daniel? No, but the Florence schools aren't slouches, especially considering South Florence is 29-1 in the past 2 years, winning state in '22 and Runner-Up in '23.
Re: Wilson looking for new Head Coach (again)
So basing off the last two years of other schools talent and playing down a classification from reality and they’re relevant? That’s cute. Again, the state doesn’t fear anyone in Florence-they’re years behind everyone else!ClemsonTigersFan wrote: ↑Thu Apr 25, 2024 10:06 am

HOF is funny considering he has an overall losing record.. the participation trophy mindset is in effect.Greenpond Mayor wrote: ↑Thu Apr 25, 2024 9:58 amThe HOF Coach Darryl Page is back at Wilson. I guess recycling is good for the environment.

Re: Wilson looking for new Head Coach (again)
You keep repeating this, but never post any proof, or even evidence.
In a previous discussion you claimed that all the new construction in FS1 was proof that the high schools were growing and should be a classification higher. In reality, the expansion at WF, and the conversion of the old Southside Middle School into the SF freshman academy, simply eliminated all the mobile classrooms and provided additional capacity for the future.
That additional capacity probably influenced the decision to close Timmonsville HS. Looking at the numbers below, it looks like most of the kids from T-ville opted to attend WF and Wilson. Wilson moved up to 4A when they created a 5th class; WF has moved up this cycle due to the increased attendance and the expanded size of 5A. SF's attendance is relatively flat, and we've only moved up and down as the threshold between the classes has changed.
