Sad state of fb in Greenville Co

You can understand the Riverside hiring- but at Mann they hired a guy who was leaving to go to another school. He had already "dipped out" on them. Who wants to bet that Mann is open again in 2 years?????

If I would have told you 10 {2010} years ago a Greenville County School would win a football state championship in the biggest classification in the state

The difference is that Hillcrest ALWAYS had the dudes, they just needed the right coach. They won in spite of Greenville county.

It is a shame that at one time Mann was a contender, so they fired the coach.

A school is only as good as their asst coaches and most times you cannot win with coaches who are from the community. They need to be in school. So best of luck to them, but I am not sure that Mann will not fall below Riverside as the worst fb team in Greenville county.

Sad thing is, if the district cared at all, every school- all 13, soon to be 14 high schools- have the athletes to be successful. Unfortunately the Ads and administration refuse to give the coaches at every school-except Greer- what/who they need.

Sad for the kids and the coaches that try.
