Seems like a slow year do you think it is because of covid and coaches are staying out and admin is more patient with their coach?

Yes, you are exactly right. A lot of coaches at the high school level, and the college level, that were struggling and up against a "hot seat" situation are benefitting from Covid making this past season kind of a throw away season in the eyes of many. And gave an administration's an easy excuse not to make a change
