Liner played who the booster club told him to play when he was at Ninety Six. He also never beat but 2 teams with winning records the whole time he was there. All of his wins were against bottom feeders or rebuilding teams. He never had a team that was a true contender. We will see how he does at Greenwood.

Pretty hard to build a contender at Ninety Six.

They beat a very strong Emerald team during Liner's last year as HC at 96.

Great shape? Is that why Doolittle fell flat of his face when he came back and followed up Liner's political mess? Ninety Six beat the teams you listed when they were down and rebuilding. How far did Liner ever get in the playoffs? To say that Liner didn't play who he was told to play is ridiculous. He started a kid at QB for 4 years that was horrible and got worse as time went along.

You opinion on this leads me to believe that you had a kid on the roster that didn't get to play much...

Actually, Ninety Six is loaded with athletes and it is a winner with the right people running the team. Politics have run everything for the last 10 - 12 years and it shows. Kids no longer come out to play, in fact, they have struggled to field a JV, Middle School and High school team since Neal left there. The guy there now was absolutely chosen by the booster club. He is going nowhere.

They are not loaded with athletes. Their best athlete in the last five to ten years was zoned to play at Emerald but his grandmother lived out Ninety Six and they wanted him there...for some reason.

Ninety Six stinks at sports that display a school's athleticism -- basketball and football. They've got no size and no strength anywhere in their programs. Maybe that starts with a solid weight lifting program, but they don't have much of a talent pool either.

96 in 2018 had a handful of athletes and were pretty darn good.
96 in 2019 had 1 good athlete, maybe 2 and were not very good.
Sometimes it is hard to admit that talent just is not there.
