Dang they had Dutch Fork on TV with helmets and I think shoulder pads during the first 3 days back a few years ago when Singleton’s kid was playing for them. No penalty!! Everyone was in a uproar because it was on tv!!

The SCHSL is a joke, and Singleton is the biggest joke there. When I was coaching wrestling, I had a kid who moved from out of state to live with his uncle because his parents had drug issues, they had legal guardianship paper work from a judge and everything, the HSL ruled it was an illegal transfer so he had to sit out a year. At the same time the top school in our region was missing a weight class, had a state champion from Pennsylvania that wrestled that weight class just happened to transfer in a week before the season and was allowed to compete. The HSL is like the NCAA, only more inept.

I've heard that Oceanside was only allowed one scrimmage this year due to rules violation, so this would be their second difference offense this year. But I doubt there will be anything done.

They should have done like we did back in our playing days, we joined schools like Bishop England, Summerville, Irmo, and others at St. Andrews College in Laurinburg, NC. We scrimmaged everyday, sometimes twice a day for a week then came home and had our 3 scrimmages back in the 70's. I don't know how long before or after that tradition continued but it was one sure fire way to get ready for the season back then.
