Strength Of Schedule
Strength Of Schedule
Of the 4A teams, what teams have the more difficult schedules? Who has the weaker schedule?

Re: Strength Of Schedule
I believe looking at SF Band Dads 4A point totals with opponents wins/losses will shed alot of light on that topic Decav.

Re: Strength Of Schedule
Opponents Wins for each team's schedule.

I always notice that the teams with the worst Records are normally toward the top and teams with better records are toward the bottom.
In terms of Schedule Strength, you should take away what each team has contributed.
Example:
Clover opp. have 56 wins minus Clover being 7 games below .500. = 49 opp. wins
Dorman opp. have 45 wins plus Dorman being 4 games above .500 = 49 opp. wins
Byrnes, Dorman, and Gaffney are the 1st teams with winning records toward the top.
That should put them in the conversation for Toughest Schedule.(among Teams w/ winning Records)
Also consider that these numbers are skewed by playing 2A and 3A teams. Not just 4A.
Irmo is one team that I wouldn't be surprised to see compete for their Region.
Even though they have a losing overall record, they have played a very tough schedule and appear ready to compete in their Region.

Re: Strength Of Schedule
Well...I was kinda hopin you guys would, you know...just tell me.
Stupid question but the possible points are fluid through the season right? As teams shake out with winning or losing records the possible points change. Are the possible points at the beginning of the season only a function of the classification of all opponents on the schedule?

Here is Dorman's current points for Example:
Max Points.....Points....Opponent Wins.... Opponent.......Location/Score
.....4...............4............... 3......Rock Hill (AAAA-3) Won 26-23
.....4...............4................4......Greenwood (AAAA-1) Won 21-7
....4.5............4.5...............6......Hillcrest (AAAA-1) Won 22-19
....3.5.............3................5......Dutch Fork (AAAA-5) Lost 39-42
....3.5.............3................5......Gaffney (AAAA-2)* Lost 34-37
....4.5.............4................4......Mauldin (AAAA-2)* Won 51-34
....4...............4................5......Spartanburg (AAAA-2)* Won 42-35
.....4..............4................2......Wade Hampton (G) (AAAA-2)* Won 42-0
......................................5......Boiling Springs (AAAA-2)*
......................................6......Byrnes (AAAA-2)*
......................................0......Riverside (AAAA-2)*
32.5 .............30.5.............45
Notice that they are waiting for the Teams Highlighted in Red to get their 6th win so that they can earn the extra 0.5 for each of those games.

Re: Strength Of Schedule
It should state a max of 3.5 points for the loss to Dutch Fork and not 4.5 if Dorman did indeed lose to them.EHSMeanGreen wrote: Here is Dorman's current points for Example:
