Spartanburg vs Boiling Springs

Post by DeCav »

Was just listening to the Friday Knight's Losers bit. They picked the Spartanburg Vikings to lose to Boiling Springs.

I really think the Vikes will win this one. Don't know much about Boiling Springs this year other than they can score a lot of points on decent defenses. I've been hearing that their own defense isn't all that great.

The Vikes never got into any kind of a rhythm Friday night. Their scoring was special teams and big plays for the most part. If they can pace their offense and control the clock I think they beat the dawgs.

I believe BS wins this one. From what i've read, Spartanburg seems one dimensional. I do, however, hope to see Spartanburg become a force again.

I agree they will probably have to find a passing game to beat the better teams this year. I'd like to see this game. I'm probably gonna attend the tailgate at Byrnes. Question is should I stay and watch that game or go see the Vike game after the tailgate.

I would definitely watch the Byrnes/Gaffney game.

Spartanburg can salvage the rest of their season with a win. A loss and it is "wait till next year".

I saw the South Pointe vs Northwestern game, and I know very knowledgeable football people who are South Pointe fans who all agreed that South Pointe just sucked against Spartanburg that night. I am not trying to take anything away from Spartanburg at all, so please don't take the comments as a slam against Spartanburg. As for South Pointe, it was best summed up when one person said that the football team must have stayed in the locker room and given their uniforms to wannabe's that night :-)

As always, the later games in the season always seem to get more important week by week. Spartanburg and Boiling Springs both need to get the win this weekend to get on a roll.
