Two pages deep into the 4A board and hardly a thread worth reading.

No wonder most of the folks that I knew and loved reading no longer post there. I guess it goes to prove the old addage, "Give 'em and inch and they'll take a mile!"

While this board is still in the infancy stage, I think it still has the potential to become the go to board for folks...

Is it correct to say that we have yet to have a debate on this forum about how many titles Gaffney has???

That right there is worth a bottle of champagne if we make it to our 1st birthday without incurring that debate.

If that debate does occur, I know where to throw it.

Some folks just cannot seem to have an adult conversation.

Hope this board takes off for you guys. Sadly, a large audience is often not a good thing.

I miss those old PFT days. At its peak, was one of the best times I've ever had since I started working in digital.

Yep, I've had some conversations with Randy Grant and Dave Pickren about the good ol' days of PFT. Way before my time sadly. But I have to say that I've had some amazing experiences from being part of PFT for the last 4 years.

Probably the pinnacle for me would have to be the RHHS1981 plaque presentation.

Right now we're really trying to cultivate a good crowd here. We're slowly trying to skim off the cream of the PFT members and bring them over here and leave the "ankle-biters", as tg78 calls them, over there.

Eventually some of the less responsible ones will wander over here and I'm sure we'll get brand new ones but at least the ship is being run now by and for football fans. As sfbd said, we have a cage we can throw threads into that go off the rails.

17. :D I vow not to post to much pot stirring on this board, honest. I see where there is a section for that already...the cage match which really isnt fair because lil bitty B1 could prolly scooch under the cage and escape. Aight...that one slipped.

I personally welcome the trash and bash to the 4A section as long as it's mixed into the stew in the right proportions. Nobody would ever accuse you CSB of taking things into the ditch. We just don't need folks posting pictures of their firearms and talking about meeting face to face to "settle" things. Also I think we should discourage these "wagers" that get discussed. Those almost never go anywhere positive.

I've been around since the very first board in 1998-99 ... Mr. Bob Bacot.... what an awesome time!! I just finished college and started my career.. was looking online for a place to talk about high school football... typed in South Carolina High School football in Yahoo Search engine and walahh.. scprepfootball.com.. I think that's what the old site was. Stratford and Summerville were running the convos at that time.. Gaffney was in the mix of course.

Agreed. We just can't let it take over the whole first page.

If you see a topic with the subject "Byrnes is afraid of us because....", you pretty much know what to expect if you're inclined to click on it. It's a bit more difficult, but we also don't want every topic to turn into a discussion of the "hot topic" of the day, for example: Goose Creek's superior administrative skills or Spartanburg's continued dominance of Region 2.
