Going to be a tough first year for him, lost our QB to Rabun Gap and a few other players and I’m not sure what all staff is sticking around. Region is still very winnable but I’m not expecting much more from this coming season. Long term who knows how it will go, he won a playoff game at Walhalla which is impressive but expectations are much higher at Daniel than in Deliverance country. People that I know that he coached in Easley had good words for him as a coach so obviously I’m hoping for it to turn out well but time will tell.

I'm shocked y'all lost your QB to Rabun Gap, especially since they have Owens coming back this season.

Stretch do you know who all applied? I was hoping it was P. Johnson or Jeff Tate LOL...they'd at least get the blood pressure of several other schools up LOL! Also, wonder if the QB at Pendleton will now slide over to DWD. He's a freshman and not bad. His dad is now coaching at CU. Wonder if Pendleton and Seneca will now start getting a few of the DWD kids?

Not sure who all applied. I was hoping Amos Myles would get the job I know he applied. I played under him when he was an assistant, he’s been coaching in the Atlanta area the last few years.

He was at our middle school but with our last QB being one grade above it made sense to go to a place to start but I won’t say anything is for certain on that front.

Who knows what happens with transfers going forward. We lost 2 to Gaffney, they didn’t play much this past year but could’ve had the chance to take on bigger roles this season.
Go Daniel Lions!!
