Re: Gray vs Abbeville
If Abbeville can Contain KZ Adams and when I say Contain it's 150 yds or so. Abbeville will take care of business...Go Panthers

We had a chance to catch up with Coach Holmes from Gray this week. He was very complimentary of the Panthers and said it will take a game with no mistakes to beat them. He said they've had this game circled since last season.

I think Gray wins in a close one, but it should be a really good ballgame.

I listened to every minute tonight great interview. He basically confirmed they have kids from everywhere but it's with in the guidelines of the high school league. No one in their right mind wouldn't want the best for their kids. But he also doesn't seem to care that the playing field isn't level in all sports. Won't be long they will have their own division and why not is the question.Movin' the Chains wrote: ↑Wed Nov 17, 2021 10:49 pmWe had a chance to catch up with Coach Holmes from Gray this week. Welp what I was afraid of. A school with the recruiting base of metropolitan Columbia will win the 2A title against teams with towns of a 1000.

Re: Gray vs Abbeville
To put it very simple, we just had no answer for containing #17, he ran wild, over 300 yds. Add to that the 2 fumbles we had inside their 10, that's a loss. Period. Neither team stopped the other, 0 punts. Gray had no turnovers and converted several 3rd and longs that hurt real bad. We just needed a couple of stops and couldn't get them. IDK about Grey and if they will continue to play in AA or what but I know Abbeville, whatever classification we are, we are looking good for years to come, not going anywhere.
