They tried that trick formation and threw the INT and then we scored and then held to a 3 and out and they punted and we drove down the field and was trying to run the clock out when we got the personal foul penalty and that marked the ball at the 4 and Gaffney punched it in a play or 2 later to make the final score

It was 20-13 Byrnes when we came out in the unbalanced formation (a call that will hunt the Byrnes' staff for a long time.) Byrnes was finally running the ball late 3rd, early 4th. If they drive down and score, or just hold on to the ball and punt later in the possession, I believe the game ends differently. Byrnes made a bad play call, Gaffney made a great play and the momentum was changed for good. Gaffney tied it up a few plays later, scored again on the next drive to go up 27-20 and that was it, till that last score.

That last score was not supposed to happen...Dan was content to run the clock out so as to not appear to rubbing it in...then the personal foul occurred and it changed things...ByrnesRebels05 wrote:racincowboy02 wrote:They tried that trick formation and threw the INT and then we scored and then held to a 3 and out and they punted and we drove down the field and was trying to run the clock out when we got the personal foul penalty and that marked the ball at the 4 and Gaffney punched it in a play or 2 later to make the final score

Yep, I know. I had no problem with it. No problem with the last score at all, ALWAYS score as many as you can. That is the object of the game.ByrnesRebels05 wrote:Yep, I know. I had no problem with it.
