More of a statement about Ashley Ridge that about Stall. But yes, the Warriors do deserve a big congratulations.
The "Godfather" didn't whine like The "Slobfather" is doing, when he got INDICTED!!!!!

To be honest, AR offense hasnt been good with the addition of Bobby Marion. They run the ball and run option with a gunslinger at QB. Wasn't a good fit.

I agree with you Fortd00, Most thought bringing in Bobby Marion would only benefit the offense. What most thought is he would be a guy to take an offense that was known to be a finesse team and build upon it with a QB that is smart and talented that has some play makers as well, but he ran the option and veer with a QB that was considered one of the top prospects in the state and had a two WR's that left (Probably now because of the offense) and if I am not mistaken one WR was a college prospect. The old offense would screen you, then hit you with something over the middle or down field plus have a good running game. Ashley Ridge QB showed he can run and isn't just a Pocket QB but they did not use him correctly or the offense correctly all year.
The biggest thing is Culture and players are the culture of their coaches but just to show how far Ashley Ridge has fallen in year 12, Here is the record from 2010 to current.
2010 6-7 Lost Second Round of Playoffs
2011 10-4 Region Champs Lost in Semi Finals of Playoffs
2012 4-8 Lost First round of playoffs
2013 4-8 Lost First round of playoffs
2014 7-5 Co-Region Champs Lost First Round of playoffs
2015 10-2 Lost first round of playoffs (Was undefeated until 11 game)
2016 3-8 Lost first round of playoffs
2017 7-4 Lost in first round of playoffs (Was up 21-7 and lost in double OT)
2018 5-6 Lost in first round of playoffs (Another experienced team that under performs)
2019 3-6 No Playoffs
To be honest Ashley Ridge should be a 7-8 win team in a bad year especially with the talent they have had since probably 2013 to now. In 10 years Ashley Ridge is 59-58, If this was a school that had limited students and talent you may say you take that, But this school has had the talent and is a top 10 if not 5 in enrollment, what they haven't had is stability with coaches and on staff they have coaches that do not have the best interest of the school or even the best interest of the HC in mind and this includes the AD and Admin this is pretty known through out the Summerville/Dorchester Area.
To be honest Ashley Ridge is like Wando you see the talent and wonder why can't they win? Then you look a little deeper and you understand, it starts from the top.

And Bluffton...one of the smallest schools in D2 4A in 2012....beat AR at their place, beat Fort D @ Bluffton and had Sville on the ropes before losing to the refs that year!!!
My point is to your comments about AR’s coaching commitment, or lack thereof. But i dont really know all that goes on at them big schools and their political agenda.
Bluffton coaching was and still is about putting the ball in your best athletes hands to score.

Re: CONGRATS TO STALL UPSETTING ASHLEY RIDGE AND WINNING
True newcat but then real world set in on Bluffton the next 3 years. Even Ashley Ridge and Colleton won...lol
2013
34-62 Ft Wins
28-38 Summerville Wins
2014
14-44 AR Wins
0-34 Ft Wins
12-14 Colleton wins (ut oh)
19-54 Summerville Wins
2015
28-53 AR Wins
6-45 Ft Wins
27-60 Colleton wins (OUCH)
21-37 Summerville wins
But I agree with you seriously...But even back then to your point is why Ashley Ridge wasn't a top team when Bluffton and Beaufort was in the Region. Some would say because Ashley Ridge was a new school. Maybe so from 2008-2012 but not 12 years later

Um beat us with by far our worst team in a long time. We had a losing season. What happened the following season when we got on track?Newcatntown wrote:And Bluffton...one of the smallest schools in D2 4A in 2012....beat AR at their place, beat Fort D @ Bluffton and had Sville on the ropes before losing to the refs that year!!!![]()

Re: CONGRATS TO STALL UPSETTING ASHLEY RIDGE AND WINNING
Lol naw. As bad as we were that year we still should had beaten y'all. A missed fg and another partially blocked. Lost by a point.
