Its an absolute sham these private recruiting schools play in the public high school playoffs. South Carolina is the only State around I know of that does this to the public schools.

They may be in the weakest region reagardless of any classification in the entire southeast lol. There's a couple teams Abbeville could just move up the JVs for and probably win by 4 tds. Yeah its that bad.....

Blacksburg just being Blacksburg. Another long year coming up. Got smoked 41-6. Don't see many if any wins on that schedule.

The same thing is happening at the smaller levels in basketball. Put these Private schools in their own league. Its absolutely ridiculous that Greys Collegiate and Schools like them are participating at the 2A level. They're killing it for the true 2A schools. Get them the he## out.

Been saying this is the future of small classifications in SC letting charter/private Schools in small classifications. Nothing to celebrate or no congratulations in order for these "athletic academies" beating up on the small public schools. Got no problem if they are put in there own separate play...

I guess SC high school league is basically telling 1 and 2A scholls with towns of 1500 and less to go screw themselves. Lamar township has 1097 people. Simpsonville has a population if over 22,000 to recruit from. Very fair......

Welp what I was afraid of. A school with the recruiting base of metropolitan Columbia will win the 2A title against teams with towns of a 1000.

Think of it this way. Abbeville is a true 2A power from a small 2A town. Grey is a 2A charter that gets the best athletes in a metropolitan area of 2 hundred thousand at least. Sure Abbeville has won many state titles but I'm here to warn everyone the days of small public high schools winning state ...
