Still pushing that I see. You're right, people have can't control themselves because of a policy from 1994. You would think in the last 18 years people would have been able to figure something out, but I guess not.
Nope. It goes back 40 more years before NAFTA. Look up the infamous quote from LBJ on his Great Society program and its passage.
So something that happened almost 60 years ago is why people today can't go to a high school football game and act like civilized humans?

I get that people deal with poverty, but at the end of the day there's only 1 person you can blame for the situation you find yourself in, and that's you. There's only 1 person that can change the situation, and that's you.
You are 100% right. NAFTA happened in 1994 and it shut down over 70,000 American plants and industries ruining the careers of tens of millions of Americans and leaving untold numbers of people with no health insurance, life insurance or retirement. Financially, NAFTA cut the heads off of thousands of small industrial towns all across America and created black economic holes with no way to fill them. Remember something, people who have hope act entirely different from people who don't have hope. There is no hope in the hood, if you are born there all you know is no hope and that definitely effects how you act and plan your life moving forward.
Like I told you the last time we had this debate, you know nothing about my background. It's easy to be a victim and just give up, successful people man up and change their circumstances.

At some point, you have to do something for yourself.
I don't disagree with you however there must be a blueprint for success and in the hood that doesn't exist. Kids born in the hood only see the gang bangers getting ahead, that is all they know. It's not complicated.
Very few in this society, in this country have seen true poverty...abject, destitute, utter poverty... In the US the poverty line in 2021 was $17, 420 for a 2 person household ( parent and child). The world average per capita income for 2021 was $12,,263....that's average. The bottom 20 countries, are below $2575 per year. I think the poverty conversation is all about perspectives and based on wants, not needs. Keep it real folks.

We now are having a problem that directly effects high school football. We can no longer guarantee good families a safe night of high school football without incident. In fact, on most Friday nights there are bad incidents, sometimes stopping the game and clearing the stands. In most cases the people who are violent are from the hood. Of course, the law blames them and charges them if the cops arrest them, but, the fear of arrest is not keeping our high school stadiums safe, especially at larger schools.
Let's just say that the good folks in our areas came together to decide something that they were going to actually do; not just finger point or talk but actually do something worthwhile to help stop this wave of violence that is spilling over from our hoods into our streets and stadiums; what would you recommend that they do???
For me, and you may not agree, which is fine, i think there must be some pathway out of the hood for young people to follow. Maybe form a National Infrastructure Corps to rebuild our highways, bridges, power grids, dams, whatever we need as a nation and recruit and train these people who are building these things from the hood. Train them and provide them with a valuable skill while also providing your nation with needed upgrades. That skill that you taught them is their ticket out of the hood. Many will use it, some won't, but in the end the masses who do will make it worthwhile to spend on. That's just my idea. I could be wrong.

Entitlement, do as you please. No fear of disciplinary repercussion. This attitude has not only swept the Nation with juveniles but with undisciplined people that pose as adults that have not grown up and they're breeding the next generation. We all know there's no parenting going on, America is becoming a uncivilized self indulgent undisciplined country.

Not only South Carolina, here's another part of the country.

There must be consequences for bad behavior by the adults who apparently consider the outcome of a high school game — a game! — as important enough to put on an embarrassing display of immaturity for everyone to see. If they can’t act like adults, they should be suspended for extended periods of time.

No one is perfect: no player, no coach, no parent and no official. But there is no excuse for an adult to use profane language or threats toward any other person at a sporting event. If Illinois administrators don’t come up with a solution to this problem soon, Friday night lights — or Saturday afternoon kickoffs — will become only a memory in the years ahead.

Just remember, we have a former president who was just found to have boxes and boxes of NUCLEAR CLASSIFIED information at his house that is only of value to our enemies. If he isn't arrested how do we discipline anyone else?

That is mostly been proven false, as will be determined by the Special Master in the case. The spaghetti flung to wall keeps falling to the floor.

TODAY'S NEWS from thousands of sources:

A federal appeals court is allowing the Justice Department to continue looking at documents marked as classified that were seized from former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home and resort.

The emergency intervention upends a trial judge’s order over those documents that had blocked federal investigators’ work on the documents, and is a strong rebuke of the Trump team’s attempt to suggest without evidence that materials were somehow declassified. Trump’s options to block the criminal investigation are now dimming with one of his only remaining possibilities being an emergency request to the Supreme Court.

The ruling was issued by a three-judge panel of the 11th US Circuit Court of Appeals – two of whom were nominated by Trump.
