Plan a trip to the beach for an extended weekend...

She can lay on the sand and you can watch football!

And don't forget to make the trip down to Garden City to visit Sara J's

South Florence looking forward to playing in Kickoff Clash
Lou Bezjak | Morning News | SCNow.com

The South Florence football team won’t be playing Myrtle Beach next season but it will be making a trip to the Grand Strand.

While playing in the Clash is official, Prince said the rest of South’s nonregion schedule is being finalized. The tentative schedule includes Fort Dorchester in Week 0 followed by New Hanover, Wilson, Crestwood, Ridge View and Blythewood. The Bruins’ bye week would be in Week. 3.

It would have been cool to play 2 games at the same location on Saturday instead of 2 games 30 miles apart on Friday.

It's worse. Those are Thursday night games.

Conway and Myrtle Beach are only 15 miles apart. The reason is to keep the games out of the hottest part of the day.

But that time of day is okay two days later when SE Raleigh & Socastee play.... :? I'm guessing they just didn't want to schedule a game that early on a weekday, and they wanted everyone from Conway and Myrtle Beach available to work on Friday and Saturday to host all the other schools' games.

Last year when we played Northwestern at high noon it was hotter than Tom Kat on a prowl. This year the Dutch Fork game was almost unbearable. There are only few fans that would want to sit thru all the games. Most will just watch their team play.
