We have always had a good rivalry with Greenwood, IMO.

Full 2018 Football schedule:

August 24 at Greenwood
August 31 at Union County
September 7 Harding
September 14 Mauldin
September 21 at Byrnes
September 28 Hillcrest
October 5 Dorman
October 12 at Riverside
October 19 at Boiling Springs
October 26 Spartanburg

No Week Zero game this season.

Even if what Dan Jones said in the Ledger about he is returning is true?

Good Looking schedule!

August 24 at Greenwood As Whoa said, renewal of a past foe and loads of tradition between the two schools Good Opening Game!

August 31 at Union County Continuation of what is a regular match up

September 7 Harding Payback time and WELCOME TO SOUTH CAROLINA

September 14 Mauldin You never know with this team what you get.

September 21 at Byrnes Hopefully we show up this time

September 28 Hillcrest They lose a lot, but things have been pretty steady for a few years

October 5 Dorman Another payback opportunity

October 12 at Riverside sort of been like a BYE week lately, maybe they see some growth?

October 19 at Boiling Springs Do the Bulldogs rebound from a disappointing 2017

October 26 Spartanburg And of course you close it out with the Vikings {stepping out on a limb and say playoff implications will be HUGE in this game!}

Sad not to see Gaffney vs Northwestern on the schedule.

Only 3 non-region games, Gaffney went with Greenwood, Union County, and Harding(NC).
The other 7 games are all Region Games.

I wonder who Northwestern's non-Region games will be.
The Trojans have 6 games to fill. Only 4 Region Games.
South Pointe (obvious)
maybe Byrnes and/or Dorman?
York?
Out of State School again?

Probably one or more from one of these two 2018 Regions .....
AAAA Region III
Lancaster
Richland Northeast
Ridge View
South Pointe
Westwood
York

or
AAAAA Region IV
Blythewood
Irmo
Lugoff-Elgin
Spring Valley
Sumter

I would love to see the SCHSL do it more like the NFL schedule.

You play 7 "REGION" games even if you have 5 in your Region. So a five team region would be cross bracketed against another 5A schools for three other games that will count toward your Region Finish. That way, every team has the same number of region games.

I disagree. A cross-bracket is a good way to fill-out everyone's schedules but counting them as region games would cause an unbalanced strength of schedule within the region. An extra "region" game against Mann is not the same as one against Hanna.
