This week's upsets, or unexpected results....

Post by trojangrad78 »

Okay. I will step up and say I didn't see the Fort Mill victory over York, much less Fort Mill just basically dominating the game. York has next week off, then Clover and then on to the playoffs.

Gaffney over Clover. Well, I am on record predicting Gaffney would regroup for this one. Gaffney will have their hands full with Fort Mill next week.

River Bluff over North Augusta? Was that an "upset"?

Any others? Or is it just the spreads of the games that were unexpected?

David Bennett at River Bluff ought to be coach of the year. Schools first year of playing varsity football. And getting thrown directly into the 4A deep end. That they are even competitive is astounding. That they have a legitimate chance to win the region is a huge reflection on he, and his staff.

Welcome to the board. It's a bit early for Coach of the Year nominations. They haven't reached the deep end yet.

Sorry, no. Not really a River Bluff fan. But to be competitive in a 4A region in a teams first year of varsity football is impressive. He put together a good staff that has done an excellent job. Glad to see him doing a good job after the screw job he got at Coastal.
