Re: Abbeville 28 Gray Collegiate 10

Gray was probably one of the most undisciplined teams we've ever played. Ton of flags thrown on them and they were all legit. Doesn't matter what kind of players you recruit if you don't know how to play clean. Abbeville heads to Columbia next week, Gray goes back on the recruiting trail

Re: DOODLES-WEEK 5 (SCHSL-Week 1)

Dadgum! Doodles about delusional if he thinks Chapman is going to beat Woodruff at all, much less by 35 points! Chapman lost 30 seniors to graduation and have a new coach. They only return ONE starter on offense and only three on defense. Good Lord. And Clover?? I saw them last Friday at the McDona...

Re: Not gonna work

I was cautiously optimistic we could make it thru a shortened season, but now I'm not so sure. Abbeville has already had a flurry of schedule changes and we haven't even made it to the first official game yet. Seems like everyday another team on the schedule has an outbreak or has to go into quarant...

Re: hssr article

I read the entire thing. To summarize, the writer of this editorial (a former school administrator from Summerville) believes that the SCHSL should have never even voted on the Lexington plan and that Lexington had no grounds or standing to present a proposal to be voted on. Instead, they voted on i...

Re: How Will The SCHSL Protect the Kids and Coaches

Rehashing my old post since the thread got wiped. I would expect some sort of combination of the following to be implemented this season (possibly not all, but at least a few): -Mandatory temperature checks, weekly testing (schools need to be given resources to do this) -No 7 on 7's, possibly no sc...

Re: How Will The SCHSL Protect the Kids and Coaches

I would expect restrictions on attendance (for example 50%, requiring all fans to wear facemasks, etc), which I'm sure the public won't react well to at some places. For the players themselves, I think play will continue as normal, but schools will need to given the infrastructure and resources to d...
